Basic Job Description:

  • Directs the daily operations of the restaurant
  • Ensures compliance with company standards in all areas of operations including, but not limited to: product preparation and delivery, customer relations, and team management

  • Responsible for maintaining all hourly personnel files, ensuring compliance with all Human Resources practices and applicable labor laws
  • Develops and maintains an acceptable level of sales.
  • Ensures adequate staffing by scheduling and using manpower controls systems.
  • Reports and controls restaurant inventory through established inventory systems.
  • Maintains sufficient stock by ordering, receiving and accounting for all supplies (dry goods, perishables and certain items of equipment).
  • Maintains and submits daily/weekly/period-ending/special reports as requested.
  • P & L responsibility to include forecasting of sales, controllable profit, and making adjustments as business conditions indicate.
  • Manages restaurant cash control by making bank deposits and maintaining an accurate restaurant change fund.
  • Utilizes a preventative maintenance system, ensuring adequate repair of buildings and equipment as needed.
  • Conducts restaurant meetings at least quarterly for purpose of planning, training, and reviewing operation/management procedures and policies.
  • Attends special meetings as scheduled by the General Manager.
  • Projects a professional presence in the restaurant community by being active in community and civic projects.
